life-and-everything:

1970 saw the introduction of the Challenger. It was bigger than its sister, the Barracuda, and designed as Dodge’s ponycar in answer to the Mustangs, Camaros, and Cougars. The R/T SE got a 383 V8, four speed manual, and four barrel carb. This was good for 375 tire shredding horsepower (though the one you really want is the 440 Six-pack). And also exclusive for 1970 was the color; aptly named Plum Crazy.
